Potential Coming Movies for Early 2012

A new year is upon us!

And there are changes coming to Gate House Community Association.

We are actively pursuing our Charitable Status. We’ve collected names of people interested in becoming members and will host our first Open Members Meeting the last Monday of January, the 28th, at the Theatre. Volunteering, ideas for events, ideas to create a spirit of community in our town, upcoming events, yearly calendar are some of the topics to be discussed. All are encouraged to come with their own ideas. The meeting commences at 7:00 pm.

January movie schedule reflects the new schedule: Classic Tuesdays have given way to a once a month movie for Guys only. Terrence Eissfeldt, 250 949-1669, is taking on this monthly event and opening it up to all men. The first movie scheduled is Courageous on January 29th.

Saturday Family Matinees are down to a once a month status as well, due to lack of interest. We’ll be showing only Pre-Release movies as these are the only ones that attract more than a couple of people. The first family matinee for 2013 is Hotel Transylvania on the 12th at 2:30. As it’s an expensive movie to bring in it is showing on Friday the 11th as well.

But the first activity for the year is the open auditions for The Coffee Clutch.

As promised here’s a list of potential movies for February and March:

Life of Pi, Flight, Sky Fall, Anna Karenina, Rise of the Guardians, Hitchcock, Red Dawn, The Hobbit, Cirque de Soleil, Parental Guidance.

Happy New Year!
