I hate technology….I love technology….

About a month ago I bought one of my favourite, if not quirky, movies; Mars Attacks! I was so excited to see it on the big screen. But last week, when I went to bring it to the theatre I couldn’t find it anywhere. I searched all week to no avail. So I rented it from iTunes.

However, when I hooked it up at the theatre technology defeated me ( and a band of valiant volunteers ) I had picture from the back of the theatre but no sound….sound from the front of the theatre but no picture. I was frustrated to the point of throwing in the towel. And I really hoped no one would show up for the movie….such is pride.

A couple of regulars came in at 6:55…then a couple of more…We decided to lock the doors and preview Friday’s movie. I haven’t laughed so hard in a very long time.

I know it’s a long weekend, however I encourage you, especially if you’re over 40 or young with a dream bigger than you, to get to Gate House Theatre this Friday night.

Doors open at 6:30. Movie starts at 7:00
